The Vbeam Prima system is designed to treat rosacea, port wine stains, facial and leg telangiectasia, hemangiomas, angiomas and spider angiomas, deep blue veins and venous lakes, benign pigmented lesions, wrinkles, inflammatory acne vulgaris, scars and benign cutaneous lesions.

HOW IT WORKS

Recently FDA-cleared, the Vbeam Prima from Candela offers two wavelengths to effectively treat a broad range of skin conditions including rosacea, spider veins, wrinkles, acne and more. Vbeam Prima’s re-designed 595 nm PDL system boasts an assortment of new features that will help physicians and patients achieve better results, the company says. These include:

  • An additional 1064 nm wavelength to treat deep blue veins and minimize the appearance of wrinkles
  • Increased maximum fluence and larger spot size
  • Contact and spray cooling
  • Once-a-day calibration
  • Extended dye life
Vbeam Prima 595 nm
  • General Surgery: Photocoagulation of benign cutaneous vascular lesions and benign cutaneous lesions
  • Dermatology/Plastic Surgery: Treatment of benign cutaneous vascular lesions such as facial and leg telangiectasia, rosacea, port wine stains, hemangiomas, angioma, spider angioma, poikiloderma of civatte. Treatment of benign cutaneous lesions such as warts, scars, striae, psoriasis. Treatment of wrinkles. Treatment of benign epidermal pigmented lesions. Treatment of inflammatory acne vulgaris
  • Gynecology: Photocoagulation of benign cutaneous lesions and benign vascular lesions in gynecology
  • Podiatry: Treatment of benign cutaneous lesions such as warts
